WPDA is governed by an elected Board that meets twice annually. The Board (of 11 members) governs the organization and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization and ensuring that all the legal and constitutional mandates are met. These include core organizational policies. The secretariat, headed by the Executive Director, ensures that the organization runs smoothly and that key systems, procedures, and personnel are in place.

our staff
WPDA has a permanent staff of Eight (8), 4 non-permanent and 11 volunteers. The Executive Director heads the team, ensuring the programmes are implemented to international standards. The ED is a degree holder with 10 years’ experience with nongovernmental organizations. Other staffs include the Programme Coordinator, the Finance Manager, Accountants, Programme Officers and support staff. From time to time, WPDA uses consultants and advisors wherever unique expertise is needed. Advisors include our partners (donors), government officials, and other senior NGO staffers.
